The Lowlight Creator Rewards Program is designed to empower content creators by helping you showcase your content and earn revenue based on the performance of your work. Through this initiative, high-quality content is recognized and rewarded.

How It Works

Creators who meet the eligibility criteria earn rewards based on the performance of their videos. Here’s a breakdown:

• Reward Mechanism: Your earnings are determined by the number of qualifying views each video garners. Once you surpass a set view threshold, rewards begin to accumulate.
• Earnings Rate: A base reward is given per 1,000 qualified views, with the possibility of additional bonuses for content that excels in engagement and creativity.
• Ongoing Benefits: As long as you continue participating in the program and your content maintains its performance, your rewards will keep growing.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate and earn rewards on Lowlight, creators need to fulfill these conditions:

• Location: You must reside in one of the regions where Lowlight is available (USA).
• Account Standing: Your account should be in good standing, free from repeated breaches of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.
• Account Type: Only personal accounts are eligible. Business accounts or those associated with political or governmental organizations cannot join.
• Age: Participants must be at least 18 years old (or 19 in specific, non-USA regions).
• Audience and Reach: You should have a minimum of 1,000 followers and 20,000 video views over the past 30 days.
• Content Criteria: Only original videos that are at least 20 seconds in length and meet our quality standards are eligible.

Additional Participant Obligations:

• Avoid any practices that artificially inflate engagement metrics.
• Ensure your content is authentic, adheres to our creative vision, and complies with Lowlight policies (gaming content only).
• Do not attempt to manipulate the rewards or recommendation systems.
• Any fraudulent or malicious actions may result in temporary or permanent removal from the program.

Video Submission Guidelines

To qualify for rewards, your videos must adhere to these guidelines:

• Authenticity & Quality: Videos should be your own creation—filmed, designed, and produced entirely by you. (Does not apply to collaborations with other creators, or videos posted to a Creator's community.)
• Duration: Each video must run for at least 20 seconds.
• Submission Timing: Only content uploaded after joining the program qualifies.
• View Count Requirement: Videos must secure at least 1,000 qualifying views from Lowlight’s main feed.
  • Views are counted once per unique user.
  • Only views exceeding 5 seconds are considered.
  • Views from users indicating disinterest are not counted.
• Content Restrictions: Videos should not feature advertisements, misleading content, or paid promotions.
• Compliance: Every video must adhere to Lowlight’s Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Copyright Policy.

Defining Original Content

For content to be deemed original:

• It must be completely self-produced, showcasing your unique skills or creative flair. (Does not apply to collaborations with other creators, or videos posted to a Creator's community.)
• It should adhere to our guidelines and not simply replicate or slightly modify existing material.

Content that does not qualify includes:

• Material copied from others or marked with third-party watermarks.
• Slightly modified content such as sped-up videos, basic filters, fixed texts, or stickers.
• Collections of external clips or images lacking new, personal input.
• Videos primarily composed of static images, looping clips, or text overlays.
• Lip-sync videos or those using copyrighted music for more than one minute.

Understanding Qualified Views

Qualified views refer to unique interactions from users on Lowlight’s main feed that meet the following criteria:

• They exclude any views generated through fraudulent means, paid promotion, or artificial inflation.
• Only views that last longer than 5 seconds are recorded.
• Only genuine user engagement (excluding disinterested views) is counted.

Once your video achieves 1,000 qualified views, it starts generating rewards.

Calculating Your Rewards

When a video qualifies:

• Base Reward: Earnings start with a standard calculation based on the total number of qualified views multiplied by a predetermined rate per 1,000 views.
• Bonus Reward: Additional rewards can be earned based on the creativity, engagement, and uniqueness of your content.

How to Enroll

If you meet the eligibility criteria, joining the program is simple:

1. Navigate to Your Profile: Open your profile within the Lowlight app.
2. Access the Settings Menu: Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-right corner.
3. Select Creator Rewards: Choose the “Lowlight Creator Rewards Program” option. This option will only be present for "Creator" or "Partner" accounts.
4. Submit Your Application: Complete the registration process.

Note:

• Age verification is based on the birthdate provided during registration or confirmed during the application.
• If your application is not initially accepted and you believe you meet the requirements, you can appeal within 7 days or reapply after the appeal period. Your account must continue to comply with all Lowlight policies.

Video Compliance and Review Process

Every video submitted is reviewed to ensure it meets program standards:

• Approval Process: Approved videos will start generating rewards.
• Disqualification: Videos that do not meet guidelines (e.g., due to poor quality or lack of originality) will be flagged, and you will be informed of the issue.
• Remediation: If a video is later found to be non-compliant, it may be removed and any previously earned rewards will be deducted.
• Appeal Rights: You have the right to appeal any disqualification. Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the notification.

How to Appeal

If you feel that your video was mistakenly disqualified, you can request a review:

1. Open Your Profile: Go to your Lowlight profile.
2. Access the Menu: Tap the settings icon (☰).
3. Select Creator Rewards: Navigate to the Creator Rewards section.
4. Initiate an Appeal: Tap on the flagged video, select “Appeal,” and follow the provided instructions.
5. Review Time: Appeals are typically processed within about 7 days, and you will be updated on the outcome.
