This Privacy Policy applies to the Lowlight services (the “Service”), which include the Lowlight apps, websites, software, and any related services accessed via any platform or device that link to this Privacy Policy. The Service is provided and controlled by Lowlight Inc. (“Lowlight”, “we,” “us,” or “our”).
We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process the personal information of users and other individuals who use our Service and who are age 13 and over. For information about how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process the personal information of users under age 13 (“Children”), please refer to our Children’s Privacy Policy (if you offer services to users under 13). For information about how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process consumer health data (as defined under Washington’s My Health My Data Act and other similar state laws), please refer to our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service for Lowlight.
1. What Information We Collect
We may collect information from and about you, including:
- Information You Provide
- Account and Profile Information: such as your name, age, username, password, language preference, email, phone number, social media account information, and profile image.
- User-Generated Content: comments, photographs, livestreams, audio recordings, videos, text, hashtags, and other content that you choose to create or upload to the Service (“User Content”) and associated metadata (e.g., when, where, and by whom content was created). Even if you are not a user, information about you may appear in User Content created or published by others.
- Messages: information you provide when composing, sending, or receiving messages through the Service’s messaging functionalities (if any). This includes content of the messages and associated metadata (e.g., time sent).
- Clipboard Data: with your permission, information (text, images, videos) from your device’s clipboard if you choose to paste content into our Service.
- Purchase Information: payment card numbers or other payment information (e.g., PayPal), billing and shipping address, and transaction history for purchases made through the Service.
- Phone and Social Network Contacts (with your permission): if you choose to find other users via your phone or social media contacts, we may access the names, phone numbers, email addresses, and social network profile information from your device or social networks.
- Verification Information: such as proof of identity or age.
- Correspondence: information you provide in support requests or other direct communications with us.
- Survey, Promotions, and Contests: your gender, age, preferences, etc., when you participate in challenges, research, promotions, or marketing campaigns.
- Information From Other Sources
- Third-Party Sign-In: if you sign up or log in using a third-party account (e.g., Facebook, Google), we may collect information from those services (e.g., public profile information, email, contact list).
- Advertisers and Marketing Partners: may share information about your activities on other websites or apps, including purchases made in person or online.
- Affiliates: we may obtain information about you from other companies within our corporate group or affiliates.
- Others: information about you provided by other people, such as if you appear in User Content uploaded by another user, or if someone provides your contact info to us.
- Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Information: information about how you use our Service, including the content you view or generate.
- Device Information: IP address, unique device identifiers, browsing and search history, user agent, mobile carrier, time zone, model of your device, device system, network type, device IDs, operating system, and app/file names and types.
- Location Data: your approximate location (based on IP address, SIM card data). Current versions of our app do not collect precise or approximate GPS information unless you explicitly grant permission, and then only in compliance with applicable law.
- Image and Audio Information: for content moderation, recommended effects, or ad recommendations, we may analyze objects, scenery, faces, body features, attributes, or audio in User Content. We may collect biometric identifiers (faceprints or voiceprints) if required by law and if you grant permission (if applicable in your jurisdiction).
- Metadata: automatically associated data when you upload or create User Content (e.g., how, when, where, and by whom the content was created or modified).
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: we and our partners use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior and usage patterns for analytics, personalization, and advertising. We may link your contact or account information with your activity on and off our Service across all your devices. We may also aggregate or de-identify any of the information we collect, and such aggregated or de-identified data is not subject to this Privacy Policy.

3. How We Share Your Information

If you are making a request via an authorized agent, provide evidence that you have given that agent authority to act on your behalf. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable laws.

- Cookies: You may refuse or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of the Service.
- Targeted Advertising: If available, you can opt out of targeted advertising via your device settings or in-app settings.
- Marketing Emails: You can opt out of receiving marketing or advertising emails by using the “unsubscribe” link provided in the email.
- Access and Update: If you have an account, you may log in to review and update certain personal information.
- Do-Not-Track: We currently do not respond to DNT signals from browsers due to lack of industry consensus.

We use reasonable measures to protect information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no security measures are 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our Service or for other legitimate purposes (such as legal obligations or business interests). Retention periods vary based on type of data and purpose for collection. If you violate our Terms of Service or other policies, we may remove your account or retain information as needed to address the violation.
