Meet Lowlight’s Ambassadors and Moderators

Meet the people welcoming new members, supporting communities and helping look after Lowlight’s public spaces. Want to join them? Start with 30 separate days on Lowlight.

Our first Ambassadors and Platform Moderators are here. You may have already met a few of them in a server, under a clip, or while finding your way around Lowlight.

Now you can meet them all on our Community Programs page. That page will stay up and grow as more people join. Visit their profiles, say hello, and see who’s helping out around the games you play.

What Ambassadors do

Ambassadors help people find a reason to come back. That might mean welcoming someone to their first server, getting a game-night conversation started, connecting a creator with a group that shares their interests, or passing useful feedback to the Lowlight team.

They work with community and server owners. An Ambassador can offer a hand with an event or an idea; the owner still decides what happens in their space. Being an Ambassador doesn’t give someone moderation powers or permission to make promises on Lowlight’s behalf.

What Platform Moderators do

Platform Moderators help look after Lowlight’s public spaces. Their work follows Lowlight’s platform rules, with training, clear limits and support from our team.

They help identify rule violations and bring difficult situations to staff. Any moderation tools available to them are limited to the public spaces and actions Lowlight enables. Appeals, private matters and permanent enforcement stay with Lowlight staff.

Platform Moderators are separate from a server’s own moderators. Their role doesn’t make them the owner of someone else’s community.

A badge for the work they do

Active members receive their program badge, program Premium and access to their private program community where available. Both programs are voluntary. There’s no weekly activity quota, and members can take a break when they need one.

Some members will also take on Lead roles to help coordinate the programs and support other volunteers. Leadership is assigned separately for each program; it doesn’t give someone unrestricted authority.

Members who are active in both programs can display a combined Moderator & Ambassador badge. The combined Lead badge is for members assigned as both Lead Moderator and Lead Ambassador.

Want to apply?

Spend some time here first. Use Lowlight on 30 separate days, verify an email address or phone number, and keep your account in good standing. The days don’t need to be consecutive. Staying signed in is fine—you don’t need to log out and back in each day.

There’s no follower minimum or posting quota. Join conversations, watch what people are sharing, and get to know the communities you’d like to help. Once you meet the requirements, open Settings → Community Programs to apply. You can check your progress there now.

Applications are always open. Each program has its own application and review, and reaching 30 days makes you eligible to apply; it doesn’t guarantee a place. Accepted applicants complete onboarding before their membership becomes active.
