GRAVHOUNDS Co-Op Preview: Tower Defense, Supply Lines, and Cute Dogs
GRAVHOUNDS blends third-person shooter action with tower defense, supply line logistics, and rocket-powered dogs. I jumped into the multiplayer playtest to see how the mechanics hold up, and the combination of fast-paced traversal, turret management, and co-op survival makes for a genuinely fun experience.

In this preview, we dive into:
Class Mechanics & Dogs: Testing the available playtest dogs, including the Doberman's crowd-control push and taunt abilities.
Supply Line Logistics: Connecting lines from your main ship to mine resources, transport fuel, and route turrets out to distant objectives across different planet biomes.
Turrets & Combat: Placing, repairing, and upgrading laser and rocket turrets as they kill bug swarms—plus dodging friendly fire from your own team!
Squeaky Toy Revive System: What happens when you go down, and how to hop or hook onto supply lines so your team can get you back to the ship.
Roguelike Card Upgrades: Selecting weapon loadouts and stacking passive buffs like Vampiric health drops and Breakneck Boost recharges.
Rocket Traversal: Using jetpack boosters and supply lines to fast-skate across the map.
Playtest Impression:
Even in this early testing phase, GRAVHOUNDS feels surprisingly polished and fleshed out for co-op play. While solo looks like a tough climb, running supply lines and defending objectives with a four-player squad is a blast. It will be exciting to see how development progresses and whether more dog breeds (like a Husky or Rough Collie) get added to the roster!
