The Next Chapter of Lowlight: Our Summer and Fall 2026 Roadmap

This summer, Lowlight is launching creator monetization, expanded server customization and member support, Creator Communities, collaborations, and clipping attribution. Android and new Ambassador and Moderator programs follow this fall.

Lowlight's Summer and Fall 2026 roadmap is here!

This summer, eligible creators will begin earning from qualifying content. Server owners will get more customization options and a new way for members to support them. Creator Communities, collaborations, and clipping attribution will also launch this summer. In the fall, Lowlight will come to Android and launch two separate community programs for Ambassadors and Moderators.

This Summer: Monetization, Creator Communities, and Collaboration

1. More Server Customization and Member Support

Servers and public channels are already live on Lowlight. This summer, owners will get more control over how their servers look and operate, while members will get new ways to support the servers they care about.

Lowlight's approach is straightforward: when members support a server through Lowlight, the server owner earns! The majority of the revenue Lowlight receives from that support will go to the server owner.

Why We Made This Decision

Great servers do not happen by accident. Owners and their teams put in the time, care, and creativity it takes to build spaces people want to return to. We believe the people who create and run those spaces should be the ones who benefit when their communities choose to support them.

We will share the customization options, support details, and exact revenue split before the rollout begins.

2. Creator Monetization Goes Live

By the end of this summer, creator monetization will be live for eligible Lowlight creators, allowing them to earn from qualifying content!

The Lowlight Creator Program is already open. This rollout is the next step: turning on real earnings for eligible creators.

The creator share will begin at 80% of eligible ad revenue and is designed to increase toward 90% as Lowlight reaches future growth milestones. We will share final eligibility, earnings, and payout details before monetization launches.

3. Creator Communities Launch

Creator Communities will launch this summer! They will give fans a dedicated place to gather around creators they follow. Members will be able to talk, react, follow updates, and connect with other fans.

Game communities are organized around the titles people play. Organizations are built around teams and groups. Creator Communities will be organized around an individual creator and their audience.

4. Collaboration and Fair Attribution

Gaming content often involves more than the person who uploads it. Teammates, editors, and clippers can all contribute.

Collaborations will let creators credit shared work and agree on how eligible revenue will be divided. Every creator added to a collaboration must approve it before the post goes live.

Clipping attribution will preserve credit to the original creator when their content is clipped or shared across Lowlight.

This Fall: Android and Community Programs

1. Lowlight Comes to Android

The native Lowlight app will launch on Android in Fall 2026!

We will share more information about the Android release, including store availability, as the launch approaches.

2. Ambassador and Moderator Programs Launch

Ambassadors will help introduce more gamers to Lowlight and welcome them into the community.

Moderators will focus on keeping public spaces safe, welcoming, and constructive.

These are separate programs with different responsibilities. Both will launch this fall! Application and eligibility details will come closer to launch.

These are our current release targets. Timing or scope may change as features move through testing. If something moves, we will share an update.
