Creator monetization and eligibility

The current monetization timeline and the difference between Creator approval and earnings eligibility.

Creator approval does not automatically activate earnings. Creator status and monetization eligibility are separate.

Current timeline

Lowlight is targeting Creator monetization by the end of Summer 2026. Timing, rollout scope, and eligibility details may change as monetization moves through testing.

Until monetization is active and an account is eligible, Creator status does not generate payable earnings.

Revenue share

Lowlight is building a creator-friendly revenue share model where eligible creators can earn 80-90% of eligible ad revenue as monetization expands.

The percentage applies only to revenue and content that meet the final eligibility rules. It is not a percentage of every ad, view, or post.

The planned share begins at 80% when monetization launches and increases at announced platform milestones. Read Creator revenue share and platform milestones for the full roadmap.

Eligibility and payouts

Final content, account, earnings, and payout requirements will be provided before monetization launches. Requirements may include account standing, qualifying content, supported locations, age or identity checks, tax information, and payout setup.

An approved Creator account may still be ineligible for monetization if it does not meet the applicable requirements.
