Lowlight Creator Requirements & Roadmap

Lowlight is building a platform where gaming creators can grow, build community, and earn from eligible content as monetization expands!

What We Are Building Toward
Our goals are straightforward:
- Make the path achievable for dedicated creators who are active on Lowlight.
- Keep the quality of gaming content on Lowlight high.
- Recognize early creators who are helping build the platform before future requirements increase.
Because Lowlight is still early, the current requirements are intentionally more accessible than the future-stage roadmap. Posting consistently, participating genuinely, and helping build the community can put your account in a stronger position to apply.
Requirements are beta guidelines and may change as Lowlight grows, our systems improve, and the Creator Program matures. Lowlight may also make exceptions for creators in approved Official Organizations or Partner Organizations, especially when the organization is actively building on Lowlight. Exceptions are reviewed manually and are not guaranteed.
Beta Stage 0
Beta Stage 0 is live! The current requirements are:
- 25 followers.
- 500 views in the last 30 days.
- 14+ active days on Lowlight.
- 10+ published pieces of content.
- Good account standing with no active suspension or ban.
- Manual review for original gaming content, account quality, and application quality.
Meeting the numeric requirements does not guarantee approval. Every application is reviewed for account standing, content originality, gaming relevance, content quality, application quality, and behavior on Lowlight.
Future Creator Stages
Future stages are planned guidelines for new applicants and may change before they take effect.
Beta Stage 1
- Followers: 100 followers.
- Recent views: 2,500 views in the last 30 days.
- Active days: 14+ active days.
- Content: 10+ published pieces of content.
- Quality: one post with 50+ interactions or 5+ active referrals.
Beta Stage 2
- Followers: 250 followers.
- Recent views: 10,000 views in the last 30 days.
- Active days: 14+ active days.
- Content: 10+ published pieces of content.
- Quality: one post with 50+ interactions or 5+ active referrals.
Beta Stage 3
- Followers: 1,000 followers.
- Recent views: 25,000 views in the last 30 days.
- Active days: 30+ active days.
- Content: 20+ published pieces of content.
Beta Stage 4
- Followers: 2,500 followers.
- Recent views: 50,000 views in the last 30 days.
- Active days: 30+ active days.
- Content: 20+ published pieces of content.
All stages remain subject to the review rules and account-standing expectations in effect when an application is submitted.
Why Requirements Increase Over Time
Early creators are helping build Lowlight before the platform is fully scaled! As the community grows, the Creator Program is expected to become more competitive and future requirements for new applicants are expected to increase.
The roadmap may change before a future stage becomes active. The current Help Center requirements and the Creator Program page in Lowlight are what apply when you submit.
If you want to work toward Creator eligibility now:
- Post original gaming content.
- Stay active and build your audience.
- Participate genuinely in posts and communities.
- Avoid spam, repeated reposts, and low-effort or misleading content.
- Help make Lowlight useful for the gaming community.
What Creator Status Means
Approved Creator accounts can receive the official Creator badge and access the Creator tools currently available on Lowlight, including the Creator Dashboard, analytics, Creator Kit, and Creator Card.
Creator or Partner status may be used as one positive signal in feed ranking and discovery. It does not guarantee reach, views, impressions, engagement, payouts, or continued distribution.
Creator Monetization
Creator approval does not automatically activate earnings. Creator status and monetization eligibility are separate.
Lowlight is targeting Creator monetization by the end of Summer 2026. Timing, rollout scope, and eligibility details may change as monetization moves through testing. Until monetization is active and an account is eligible, Creator status does not generate payable earnings.
Lowlight is building a creator-friendly revenue share model where eligible creators can earn 80-90% of eligible ad revenue as monetization expands. The percentage applies only to revenue and content that meet the final eligibility rules; it is not a percentage of every ad, view, or post.
Final eligibility, earnings, and payout requirements will be shared before monetization launches.
Creator monetization and eligibility
Fast Track Review
Fast Track is a separate manual-review path for established creators who may not yet meet the standard Lowlight account requirements.
Applicants need at least 5,000 verified followers on one supported external platform. The current supported platforms are Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Kick, Blaze, and Streemrz.
Lowlight may require ownership verification, such as sending a DM from the primary linked account with a verification code. External audience size does not guarantee approval. Lowlight still reviews account standing, original gaming content, and account and application quality.
Program Access and Account Standing
Creator access remains subject to Lowlight's Terms of Service, community rules, applicable program requirements, and account-standing expectations.
Lowlight may review Creator Program access if an account no longer meets applicable requirements or has repeated or serious rule violations. Fraud, artificial engagement, spam, and other program abuse can also affect program or monetization eligibility.
