Our goal as the only platform that pays 80-90% of ad revenue is to create a special platform just for gamers. This starts with taking care of our partners, you the creators. Our goals with the Creator Program requirements are simple.

  1. A dedicated person, engaging with the community consistently can hit these goals in a reasonable amount of time.
  2. The content that is shared on Lowlight is of high quality.

With that being said, we'd like to reward you, the (early) creators with low requirements, as a way of saying thanks for your time, energy, and faith in us. As we grow as a community and platform, we will progress through 4 stages, based on the number of users.

Beta Stage 1:

  • Platform Users: 1-10,000 Users
  • Follower Requirement: 100 Followers
  • 30D Views: 2,500
  • Account Active: 14+ Days
  • Content: 10+ pieces of content
  • Quality Control: One post with 100+ interactions or referred 3+ new active users

Beta Stage 2:

  • Platform Users: 10,001-50,000 Users
  • Follower Requirement: 250 Followers
  • 30D Views: 10,000
  • Account Active: 14+ Days
  • Content: 10+ pieces of content
  • Quality Control: Two posts with 100+ interactions or referred 3+ new active users

Beta Stage 3:

  • Platform Users: 50,001-250,000 Users
  • Follower Requirement: 1,000 Followers
  • 30D Views: 25,000
  • Account Active: 30+ Days
  • Content: 20+ pieces of content
  • Quality Control: Consistent 5%+ engagement rate

Beta Stage 4:

  • Platform Users: 250,000+ Users
  • Follower Requirement: 2,500 Followers
  • 30D Views: 50,000
  • Account Active: 30+ Days
  • Content: 20+ pieces of content
  • Quality Control: Consistent 5%+ engagement rate

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Age: Must be 18+ years old
  • Location: United States only (expanding 2025)
  • Account Standing: No active community guideline strikes
  • Original Content: Must own rights to all uploaded content

FAST TRACK PROGRAM

  • 10K+ verified followers on Twitch/YouTube/TikTok
  • Must verify external platform account
  • Must post 5+ exclusive pieces of content in first 30 days to maintain monetization

PAYMENT STRUCTURE

Availability: United States only (expanding 2025)

Revenue Share:

  • Scaling revenue share from 80-90% based on platform growth! See our other blog posts!

Payment Method:

  • Direct bank deposit via Stripe Connect
  • All creators must complete Stripe identity verification
  • Tax forms collected automatically

Payment Schedule:

  • Minimum Payout: $50

Setup Process:

  1. Meet monetization requirements
  2. Click "Apply for Monetization" in your Lowlight settings
  3. Complete Stripe Connect onboarding (5 mins)

PROHIBITED CONTENT

Content Ineligible for Monetization:

  • Reposted/stolen content
  • Non-gaming content
  • Cheating, hacking, or exploit promotion
  • View botting or artificial engagement
  • Copyright infringement/DMCA violations
  • Violent or graphic content outside normal gameplay
  • Harassment or hate speech
  • Sexual or suggestive content
  • Misleading thumbnails or titles
  • Spam or repetitive content

CONTENT RIGHTS & LICENSING

By participating in Lowlight monetization:

  • Creator grants Lowlight license to display, distribute, and promote content
  • Creator warrants ownership of all content elements
  • Lowlight may use clips for marketing with attribution
  • Creator retains ownership of original content
  • Non-exclusive license (can post elsewhere)

SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

Warning System:

  • First violation: Warning + 7-day monetization pause
  • Second violation: 30-day monetization suspension
  • Third violation: Permanent monetization removal

Appeals:

  • Submit appeal within 30 days of action
  • Review completed within 7 business days
  • One appeal per action allowed

Pending Payouts:

  • Payments for cleared earnings will be processed
  • Earnings under review may be held for up to 90 days
  • Fraudulent earnings will be forfeited

GRANDFATHER PROTECTION

Once qualified, creators maintain monetization access even if:

  • Stage requirements increase for new creators
  • Metrics temporarily drop below thresholds
  • Lowlight reaches new user milestones

Exceptions - Monetization removed if:

  • Lowlight Terms of Service violations
  • 90+ days of account inactivity
  • Fraudulent activity detected
  • Creator requests removal

By participating in the Lowlight Creator Monetization Program, you agree to these terms and all Lowlight Terms of Service.
