“I’m BLACKFOX, a content creator, community leader, and founder of The Foxhole. I’m passionate about bringing people together through gaming—whether you’re a veteran, competitive player, casual gamer, content creator, or supporter. My goal has always been to build a place where everyone feels like family and has the opportunity to grow together.”
That idea of growing together is more than a description of The Foxhole. It is the thread connecting every stage of Blackfox87’s journey.
It Started With Halo
Blackfox87’s first defining gaming memories were Halo LAN parties with friends, gathering in houses and garages to play together. Long before community building became his full-time ambition, gaming was already creating the kind of connection he would later want to offer others.
“Halo was the first OG that made me who I am.”
After several years, gaming became more than a hobby. Blackfox87 found a mission in helping veterans through gaming, and that sense of purpose helped him see a future he wanted to pursue full time.
Taking the Leap Into Content Creation
Blackfox87 began creating content in December 2019. The push came from a friend who saw the potential before he did.
“A friend said, ‘BLACKFOX, I think you would be great at content creation.’ I laughed, then took the leap.”
There was no single cinematic moment when everything changed. Instead, the proof accumulated: a community formed, sponsors came on board, and the work began turning into something bigger than one creator going live.
For Blackfox87, those milestones confirmed that taking the leap had been the right choice.
From a PTSD Awareness Event to The Foxhole
The Foxhole started in May 2026, following a PTSD Awareness event that brought people together around the mission. After the event, community members encouraged Blackfox87 to build a lasting home for the connection they had found there.
The result was a community designed to welcome people across gaming backgrounds while keeping support for veterans and their families close to its purpose.
“The Foxhole is more than a gaming community—it’s a family. It’s a place where people from all backgrounds can come together, game, create content, support one another, and know they always have people in their corner. We strive to help our veterans and families.”
People First, Numbers Second
When Blackfox87 looked at other gaming and creator spaces, he saw an opportunity to put genuine relationships ahead of numbers and cliques. He wanted creators of every size to have room to grow, gamers to be able to find teammates, and new members to feel welcomed and respected from the start.
That people first approach remains The Foxhole’s defining difference.
“We care about building relationships, supporting creators, helping members succeed, and making sure everyone feels like they have a place. We’re not just another Discord—we’re building a family.”
The impact Blackfox87 is proudest of so far comes from The Foxhole’s PTSD Awareness events and the community’s work to support veterans. For him, seeing people connect around that mission gives the organization’s growth a deeper meaning.
Finding Balance
Building a community that feels personal takes work that most people never see. Creating content is only one part of the job.
“Finding balance has been one of the biggest challenges. Running a community, creating content, supporting members, managing partnerships, and still making time for family and my own health is a lot.”
Behind each stream are conversations with members, event planning, creator support, partnership work, and the constant effort to make the community better. Blackfox87 describes it as a labor of love—one made worthwhile by watching friendships form, creators grow, and members realize they have found a place where they belong.
